Title: Commercial Real Estate Lawyer – Finished Lot Land Development/Homebuilding/Landbanking
Note: This position requires the employee to work both in-office and remotely.
Note: Bar admission to any state is acceptable for this position, but AZ is preferable.

Our client is a specialized law firm dedicated to commercial real estate transactions, primarily focusing on land acquisition, sales, and development in the homebuilding sector. With a wide-ranging portfolio spanning over 25 states, they excel in land banking, lot servicing, acquisition, development, and real estate financing in Arizona, particularly representing master planned community developers.
Job Description
- Manage land banking transactions nationally for land bankers working with public and private homebuilders, including due diligence, title review, document drafting, and closing processes.
- Negotiate and draft various real estate contracts, such as purchase agreements, development agreements, and financing contracts.
- Collaborate with capital sources, developers, and landowners on diverse real estate projects.
- Coordinate and oversee closings for land banking, acquisition, and sales transactions.
- Assist in loan transactions on behalf of secured lender clients, primarily focused on fast hard money lending.
- Work alongside local counsel in multiple states to ensure compliance with regional real estate laws.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years practicing transactional real estate law, with specific experience in land transactions with home builders and lot sales.
- Highly preferred experience in landbanking transactions or the sale of finished lots. Commercial leasing or development experience is not necessary.
- Familiarity with homebuilder transactions, including the acquisition and sale of finished lots.
- Bar admission in any state is accepted, but candidates licensed in AZ or with relevant experience in primary operation states (AZ, CA, FL, TX, NV, WA, the Carolinas, and GA) will be prioritized.
- Full-time availability in the Scottsdale, AZ office is required.
