Labor & Employment Attorney

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the San Diego, CA office.

Job Description

  • Handle employment litigation cases for employers, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage disputes, class actions, and state/federal employment law adherence
  • Prepare legal documents like motions, pleadings, and memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and oversee discovery processes
  • Manage depositions and interviews with witnesses
  • Offer advice on employment law compliance, encompassing ADA, FMLA, CFRA, and pandemic-related regulations, as well as disability accommodations and leave regulations
  • Potential involvement in labor negotiations, grievances, and arbitrations

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in employment litigation
  • Thorough knowledge of California employment laws
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and managing discovery
  • Preference for trial or arbitration experience
  • Ability to provide well-informed guidance on state and federal labor regulations
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
  • Must be admitted to the California Bar

Pay: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
