Job Description

  • Advise employers on labor-related issues such as disciplinary actions, terminations, accommodations, and compliance with wage and hour regulations
  • Review and create employment-related documents like handbooks, contracts, and policies
  • Represent clients in front of state and local regulatory bodies
  • Conduct investigations in workplace settings and offer strategic advice for risk management
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure compliance with labor laws and implement preventive measures
  • Handle both counseling and litigation-prevention responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited law school with a J.D. degree
  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor law
  • Past experience in advising employers and drafting employment-related documents
  • Familiarity with federal and state labor laws
  • Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills
