Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Junior Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our client's team. This role is perfect for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with 1-2 years of experience. While experience in workers' compensation is not mandatory, a keen interest in this field is essential. The ideal candidate will be proactive, motivated, and eager to advance in the field. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling workers' compensation claims for injured individuals
- Managing a caseload focusing on settlements and litigation
- Preparing legal documents such as motions, petitions, and discovery
- Participating in hearings and depositions before WCAB
- Collaborating with experts in the medical and vocational fields
- Maintaining open communication with clients to ensure they are informed throughout the process
Qualifications
- JD from a reputable law school
- California Bar license
- 1-2 years of legal experience is preferred
- Solid academic background (transcripts may be requested if no prior workers' comp experience)
- Interest in specializing in workers' compensation law
- Previous experience as a workers' comp legal assistant is a bonus
- Confident, proactive, and eager to learn
- Strong communication and organizational skills
