Associate Attorney – Environmental Law

Job Description

  • Conduct thorough legal and regulatory analysis, offering guidance on local, state, and federal environmental laws, including compliance and permitting.
  • Manage cases related to the Florida Statutes' Chapters 373 and 403, the Clean Water Act, and associated regulations.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, including those conducted by the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings.
  • Create finely crafted documents, pleadings, and advanced legal analyses.
  • Work independently and collaboratively on complex litigation involving environmental law, land use, and local government matters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in environmental law, with a focus on federal and state regulations.
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar.
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Preferred experience working with regulatory agencies or local government.
  • Proficiency in legal research, complex drafting, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of land use and local government law is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and efficiently manage multiple priorities.
