Job Description

• Handle workers' compensation cases on the plaintiff side, advocating for injured workers and securing settlements.
• Manage a caseload that includes settlement negotiations and some litigation.
• Prepare legal documents such as motions, petitions, and discovery.
• Appear at hearings and depositions before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
• Collaborate with medical and vocational experts to strengthen client cases.
• Keep clients informed about case progress and legal strategies.

Qualifications

• Must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice law in California.
• At least 1 year of experience in workers' compensation law, either as a plaintiff or defense attorney.
• Strong litigation skills, with the ability to negotiate and draft effective legal documents.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Client-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
• A genuine passion for advocating for injured workers.
