Job Description

• Handle workers’ compensation cases on the plaintiff side, with a primary focus on securing settlements and advocating for injured workers.
• Take responsibility for representing injured workers in workers’ compensation claims, managing the entire process from start to finish.
• Manage a caseload that includes settlement negotiations and some litigation.
• Draft various legal documents such as motions, petitions, and discovery.
• Appear at hearings and depositions before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
• Collaborate with medical and vocational experts to strengthen client cases.
• Keep clients updated on case progress and legal strategies.

Qualifications

• Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Possess an active license to practice law in California.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in workers’ compensation law, either on the plaintiff or defense side.
• Demonstrate strong litigation skills, including effective negotiation and drafting of legal documents.
• Showcase excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Embody a client-focused mindset with exceptional communication skills.
• Exhibit a genuine passion for advocating for injured workers.
