Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Roseland, NJ office. After 1 year, attorneys may be able to work a hybrid schedule.

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Associate Lawyer to join our client's team. This role involves:

  • Providing legal representation to clients in bankruptcy proceedings, workouts, and restructuring cases
  • Preparing various legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and memoranda
  • Conducting comprehensive legal research and developing case strategies
  • Offering advice and guidance to clients on bankruptcy and financial restructuring matters
  • Attending court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborating closely with senior attorneys and clients to formulate effective case strategies

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of New Jersey
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of bankruptcy law
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to independently handle cases while also working effectively within a team environment
  • Prior experience in Chapter 11, Chapter 7, or restructuring matters is highly advantageous
