Job Description

• Provide therapeutic counseling to individuals struggling with substance abuse using a comprehensive bio-psychosocial approach.
• Educate patients and families about the complexities of substance abuse.
• Lead group discussions, conduct one-on-one sessions, and assign group activities for Mental Health Technicians.
• Assess patient needs and recommend appropriate support groups.
• Complete daily billing charges and sheets.
• Utilize historical and current data to assess patient needs and deliver effective counseling.
• Provide individual and group crisis intervention, as well as family clinical interventions.
• Act as a client advocate, mediator, and facilitator.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license from the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
• LSW or LPC licensure required.
• Current licensure by the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board as a LCDC II, III, or LICDC (higher than CDCA).
