Job Description
- Provide therapeutic counseling to individuals struggling with substance abuse using a comprehensive bio-psychosocial approach.
- Educate patients and families about the complexities of substance abuse.
- Lead group discussions, conduct one-on-one sessions, and assign group activities for Mental Health Technicians.
- Assess patient needs and recommend appropriate support groups.
- Complete daily billing charges and sheets.
- Utilize historical and current data to assess patient needs and deliver effective counseling.
- Provide individual and group crisis intervention, as well as family clinical interventions.
- Act as a client advocate, mediator, and facilitator.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid license from the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
- LSW or LPC licensure required.
- Current licensure by the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board as a LCDC II, III, or LICDC (higher than CDCA).
