Job Description:

• Perform radiation therapy procedures and fulfill administrative duties assigned by the department director.
• Update and maintain radiation policy and procedures.
• Provide education to staff on policy, procedures, and requirements set by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).
• Ensure compliance with ODH Administrative Code requirements and assist the department director in meeting those standards.
• Monitor and ensure completion of equipment quality checks and maintenance.
• Chair and document radiation therapy Quality Assurance and Improvement meetings.
• Assist in the development and implementation of QA/QI plans.
• Coordinate patient care based on individual needs.
• Participate in the selection, training, and orientation of radiation therapy personnel.
• Assist the director with staff competencies and evaluations.
• Stay updated on radiation oncology billing procedures and assist the director with audits and edits.
• Support physicists in meeting quality and safety requirements.
• Ensure the implementation and effective use of electronic medical records.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of various therapy equipment, including the VARIAN linear accelerator, patient protection devices, and patient information systems.
• Collaborate with the CT Simulation Unit and Portal Vision teams.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Training Program.
• Current ARRT (T) license specific to Radiation Therapy.
• Valid Radiation Therapist license from the Ohio Department of Health.
• 3-5 years of experience in radiation therapy with training in simulation and planning; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification required.
