Job Description:
- Performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures using specialized equipment to capture detailed images of the human anatomy
- Assisting physicians and radiologists during examinations by administering contrast media and providing support as needed
- Greeting and addressing patients, verifying orders, explaining procedures, and positioning patients for exams
- Preparing and operating MRI equipment in accordance with established protocols and radiation protection guidelines
- Reporting any concerns or unusual situations to the appropriate personnel
- Maintaining inventory of supplies and assisting with stocking and cleaning of examination rooms
- Completing necessary paperwork, ensuring proper identification and storage of exams
- Participating in quality control and quality assurance studies
- Assisting the supervising radiologist with administrative tasks
- Enforcing radiation safety principles
Qualifications:
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required
- Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of one year of previous experience preferred
