Job Description

  • Lead the firm's recruitment efforts for lawyers, including lateral hires and summer associate programs.
  • Create and implement strategies to enhance the firm's recruitment brand and market presence.
  • Oversee the smooth onboarding and integration of new lawyers to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Develop and manage professional development programs to support the growth of lawyers.
  • Collaborate with firm leaders to assess hiring needs and long-term talent strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with law schools, legal recruiters, and industry professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and all legal regulations in the recruitment process.
  • Manage and provide reports on recruiting metrics, diversity initiatives, and retention strategies.
  • Supervise a team of recruitment support staff and provide opportunities for their professional development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in lawyer recruitment or professional development, preferably within a law firm setting.
  • Bachelor's degree required; additional certification in recruitment, retention, or professional development is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and strong relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to devise and implement innovative recruitment strategies.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, legal recruiting software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
