Job Description
- Lead the firm's recruitment efforts for lawyers, including lateral hires and summer associate programs.
- Create and implement strategies to enhance the firm's recruitment brand and market presence.
- Oversee the smooth onboarding and integration of new lawyers to ensure a seamless transition.
- Develop and manage professional development programs to support the growth of lawyers.
- Collaborate with firm leaders to assess hiring needs and long-term talent strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with law schools, legal recruiters, and industry professionals.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies and all legal regulations in the recruitment process.
- Manage and provide reports on recruiting metrics, diversity initiatives, and retention strategies.
- Supervise a team of recruitment support staff and provide opportunities for their professional development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in lawyer recruitment or professional development, preferably within a law firm setting.
- Bachelor's degree required; additional certification in recruitment, retention, or professional development is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and strong relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to devise and implement innovative recruitment strategies.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, legal recruiting software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
