Eminent Domain Associate Attorney
Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the San Diego, LA, or Oakland, CA office.
Our client, an esteemed midsize law firm with a strong track record in handling high-profile legal matters across California based in San Diego, CA, is currently seeking a talented and driven Eminent Domain Junior Lawyer to join their team.
Job Description
- Work under the guidance of the Trial and Litigation Practice Group, specializing in eminent domain cases.
- Contribute to all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.
- Provide legal representation to public and private clients involved in land acquisition for major infrastructure projects such as transit systems and stadiums.
- Conduct thorough legal research, prepare motions, and develop effective trial strategies.
- Participate in depositions, interviews with witnesses, and gathering of evidence.
Qualifications
- At least 4-7 years of litigation experience (preferred experience in eminent domain or real estate/real property).
- Demonstrated expertise in legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proven experience in law and motion practice, including dispositive motions.
- Ability to build a compelling case for trial, including handling discovery, conducting depositions, and interviewing witnesses.
- Must be licensed to practice law in California.
