Job Description
- Assess estate planning needs and provide recommendations by engaging with prospective and current clients.
- Create and review estate planning documents, ensuring their alignment with client objectives and existing laws.
- Guide clients through the entire engagement process, including discussing fees and collecting payments.
- Conduct client meetings for the purpose of reviewing, updating, and finalizing estate plans.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, meetings, and legal documents.
- Deliver prompt responses to client inquiries through phone and email.
- Collaborate with financial advisors and other professionals to offer comprehensive estate planning solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with estate planning, trust, and probate laws to ensure compliance and the adoption of best practices.
- Participate in regular attorney meetings and firm-wide discussions on complex cases and legal updates.
Qualifications
- Active California State Bar license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning.
- Thorough knowledge of estate, gift, and income tax laws.
- Preferably a State Bar Certified Specialist in Trusts, Wills & Probate.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client management skills.
- Proficient in using legal technology and case management systems.
