Job Description:
- Take charge of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Create and develop innovative menus that capture the essence of the restaurant's Cuban-Caribbean fusion concept.
- Manage inventory effectively by sourcing and ordering ingredients while focusing on cost control measures.
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations to keep the kitchen clean and sanitary.
- Collaborate closely with event coordinators to plan and execute private parties and special events.
- Monitor labor costs and adjust staffing levels according to business demands, especially during periods of fluctuating demand.
Qualifications:
- Preferably possess a degree in culinary arts; Certified Executive Chef (CEC) certification is a bonus.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an executive chef role.
- Demonstrated expertise in Cuban and Caribbean cuisines is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Dedication to upholding high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
