Field Engineer – Civil Construction
Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at various job sites throughout Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.

Job Description:
- Serve as the on-site Field Engineer for heavy highway and civil construction projects
- Collaborate daily with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Crews
- Coordinate materials and ensure all certifications meet contract specifications
- Track project progress, maintain reports, and document site activity
- Oversee subcontractor performance and timelines
- Manage concrete deliveries and pours
- Assist with project close-out and reporting
- Work in a variety of outdoor environments and occasionally second shift
- Travel to job sites within a 1-hour radius of Chicagoland or Northwest Indiana
- Report directly to the job site each day
- Company vehicle provided
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry
- Must hold a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- Valid driver's license
- Prior experience working for a contractor is preferred
- Strong background in heavy highway construction
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
- Local to the Chicagoland or NW Indiana area (within 1 hour of job sites)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn construction software
