Foreman – Commercial Flooring
Note: This position requires on-site work five days a week across New England and New York. Some travel with overnight stays is required; hotel accommodations, a daily cash stipend, and partial travel time compensation are provided.
Note: You must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, tools, and at least 5 years of commercial flooring experience, including layout reading and installation oversight. You must also have at least 2 years of experience in a foreman or crew leadership role within the construction or skilled trades industry. Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead commercial flooring crews on job sites throughout the Northeast.
- Oversee day and night shift commercial flooring projects (day: M–F 6am–2:30pm; night: M–Th 9pm–5:30am with 1.25x pay multiplier)
- Travel required; company provides hotel and $40/day cash food stipend
- Manage flooring crews on installations involving VCT, LVT, ceramic, quarry tile, and more
- Ensure proper site preparation, layout execution, and job completion
- Read and interpret construction drawings; ensure layouts are followed
- Assist with hands-on installation work when needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial flooring (VCT/LVT/Ceramic/Quarry)
- 2+ years of experience in foreman or crew leadership role within the construction or skilled trades industry
- Ability to manage crews and oversee jobsite operations
- Proficient in reading blueprints and setting layout
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must own appropriate tools for commercial flooring work
- Willingness to travel and work night shifts as needed
- Ceramic and tile mudbed installation experience is a strong plus
