Job Description

• Responsible for providing expert legal counsel and guidance to colleges and universities regarding regulatory compliance and business operations.
• Advise higher education institutions on adhering to state and federal regulations.
• Handle complex transactional matters such as mergers and acquisitions involving colleges and universities.
• Offer legal advice on governance, accreditation, and institutional policies.
• Assist with contract negotiations, employment issues, and risk management.
• Represent institutions in regulatory investigations and administrative proceedings.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to develop innovative legal strategies that serve the best interests of our clients.

Qualifications

• Hold a J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the New Jersey Bar.
• Possess at least 3 years of legal experience, with a focus on higher education or regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate a strong background in transactional matters, including mergers and business operations.
• Prior experience representing colleges or universities is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
