Job Description
- Seeking associates with more than 4 years of experience in labor and employment law
- On-site position located in San Diego, CA
- Desired candidates should have a background in employment litigation and possess strong academic achievements
- Thorough understanding and proficiency in State and Federal fair employment laws, wage-hour laws, FMLA, and related legislation is essential
- Prior experience in case preparation for employment matters before state and federal agencies and courts is required
- Ability to independently handle various responsibilities, including attending hearings, drafting and responding to discovery, and preparing motions for federal and state court
- Expected to effectively manage cases from inception to trial
- Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and a writing sample online
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in employment litigation
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree obtained between 2016-2018
- Exemplary academic credentials
- Graduated from a top 100 law school
- Proficient in State and Federal fair employment laws, wage-hour laws, FMLA, and related laws
- Prior experience in case preparation for employment matters
- Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal guidance
- Demonstrated expertise in attending hearings, drafting and responding to discovery, drafting motions, and trial preparation
