Job Description
- Join our client's prestigious law firm and represent employers in various employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation claims, wage disputes, class actions, and compliance with federal/state employment laws
- Draft persuasive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and efficiently manage discovery processes
- Confidently handle depositions and conduct witness interviews
- Provide invaluable guidance to employers on employment law compliance, including ADA, FMLA, CFRA, and COVID-related regulations, as well as disability accommodations and leave policies
- Opportunity to engage in labor relations endeavors, such as labor negotiations, handling grievances, and participating in arbitrations
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of substantial experience in employment litigation
- In-depth understanding of California employment law
- Proficient in legal research, drafting, and effectively managing discovery procedures
- Trial or arbitration experience would be highly advantageous
- Ability to provide sound advice on federal and state labor laws
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
- Must be admitted to the California Bar
