Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at our client's Boca Raton, FL office.
About Our Client: Our client is a reputable law firm specializing in personal injury and property damage cases. Situated in Boca Raton, Florida, they are known for providing outstanding legal services. Currently, they are looking for a highly dedicated Legal Assistant to join their dynamic team.
Job Description:
- Assist attorneys in the management and preparation of cases.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry and maintaining attorney schedules.
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe to manage documents effectively.
- File legal documents electronically using Florida’s E-Portal System.
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
- Maintain clear and efficient communication with clients and other parties involved.
- Arrange virtual hearings using Court Calls or Zoom.
- Execute any other assigned duties related to the role.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in litigation.
- Preferably possess trial experience.
- Prior experience with electronic filing in both state and federal courts is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
