What they’re looking for:
- Valid RN license in the state of Kansas
- Associate degree of nursing (ADN) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Hours and compensation potential:
- Full-time position, five days a week
- Shift timing: 7p-730a
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- Salary range: $30-$58/hr dependent on years of experience
- Shift differentials: $2.00/hr for evenings, $2.50/hr for nights, $2.70/hr for weekends
- Full benefit package including sign-on/relocation bonus, tuition reimbursement
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing general nursing care to patients in hospital healthcare facility
- Utilizing AIDET in daily communication with patients, visitors, staff, and other departments
- Greeting visitors and accompanying them to their destination
- Coordinating with Charge Nurse to obtain appropriate patient assignment
- Updating and maintaining the patient’s White Communication board
- Performing head to toe assessment on all assigned patients and documenting in the electronic chart
- Monitoring patient throughout shift and documenting changes, notifying providers if needed
- Performing hourly rounding, coordinating with assistive staff, and providing patient teaching
- Administering prescribed medications in accordance to approved nursing techniques and using Med/Verify
- Administering treatments as directed by physicians and per nursing standards and policies
- Educating patients and families throughout shift and documenting education on electronic flow chart

- Acute care hospital under 50 beds and not-for-profit
- Target ratio is 5:1, likely to be 3-4:1 until census grows
- Possibility of having another nurse or certified nursing assistant depending on census
