Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the XYZ office. Job Description: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a hospital healthcare facility. - Utilize AIDET in daily communication with patients, visitors, staff, and other departments. - Welcome and accompany visitors to their destination. - Coordinate with the Charge Nurse to determine patient assignment and obtain necessary information. - Update and maintain patient communication boards. - Conduct thorough patient assessments and document in real-time. - Monitor patients throughout the shift, document any changes, and notify providers if necessary. - Perform hourly rounding, coordinate with assistive staff, and provide patient education. - Administer prescribed medications using approved nursing techniques and Med/Verify. - Administer treatments as directed by physicians and nursing standards. - Educate patients and their families, documenting all education provided. Qualifications: - Must be a registered nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Kansas. - Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. - Six months to one year of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Information: - The facility is an acute care hospital with less than 50 beds and operates as a not-for-profit organization. - Target nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1, potentially reduced to 3-4:1 based on census. - Possibility of having additional nursing staff or CNAs depending on census.
