Job Description
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for patients, focusing on assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication
- Maintain positive working relationships with other healthcare professionals and ancillary staff
- Provide direct patient care, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, and consult with other specialists
- Review patients' functional needs and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
- Design and implement care plans based on thorough assessments and incorporate participation by significant others when appropriate
- Conduct therapy practice within defined standards of care
- Direct support staff to achieve patients' functional goals
- Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Document evaluations, treatment goals, plans, and regularly update documentation
- Participate in professional growth and development opportunities
- Provide direction and leadership to staff and promote physical therapy in the community
Qualifications
- Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved program
- Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- Ability to be licensed within the State of Montana
