Job Description

  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for patients, focusing on assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication
  • Maintain positive working relationships with other healthcare professionals and ancillary staff
  • Provide direct patient care, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, and consult with other specialists
  • Review patients' functional needs and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Design and implement care plans based on thorough assessments and incorporate participation by significant others when appropriate
  • Conduct therapy practice within defined standards of care
  • Direct support staff to achieve patients' functional goals
  • Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Document evaluations, treatment goals, plans, and regularly update documentation
  • Participate in professional growth and development opportunities
  • Provide direction and leadership to staff and promote physical therapy in the community

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved program
  • Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
  • Ability to be licensed within the State of Montana
