Radiation Therapist

Job Description:
- Administer photon and electron radiation treatments accurately and safely.
- Assist in performing brachytherapy procedures under the direction of the radiation oncologist.
- Construct shielding blocks and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Document duties performed and maintain accurate records.
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
- Conduct simulations in preparation for radiation therapy treatment.
- Ensure patient's treatment and orders are followed accurately using proper documentation.
- Assess patient needs and provide education and information to patients and their families.
- Operate imaging, therapeutic, and medical equipment effectively and safely.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner by prioritizing work.
- Display a willingness to cross-train in other areas to enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (RTT).
- Licensed in the State of Ohio in Radiation Therapy (LRTT).
- Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience.
- Experience with TrueBeam, Trilogy, and Aria is strongly preferred.

- This position reports to the Radiation Oncology Manager and works collaboratively with a skilled team.
- The team consists of 1 clinical manager, 1.6 Radiology Oncologist, 1.6 FT RN's, 2 FT Physicist, 2 FT CMD's, and 5 Staff RTT's.
