Title: Real Estate Transactional Attorney – Finished Lot Land Development/Homebuilding/Landbanking

Our client is a well-established law firm specializing in transactional real estate. They primarily focus on land acquisition, sales, and development, with a strong emphasis on transactions involving homebuilders. With a vast portfolio spanning over 25 states, our client handles significant land banking and lot servicing deals. They also specialize in land acquisition, development, and real estate financing in Arizona, as well as representing master planned community developers in the state.
Job Description
- Manage nationwide land banking transactions for land bankers providing capital to public and private homebuilders, including due diligence, title review, drafting documents, and closing.
- Negotiate and prepare various real estate contracts, such as purchase and sale agreements, land development agreements, and financing arrangements.
- Collaborate closely with capital sources, developers, and landowners on a wide range of real estate projects.
- Facilitate closings for transactional real estate matters related to land banking, acquisition, and sales.
- Assist with loan transactions on behalf of secured lender clients, especially fast hard money lending.
- Coordinate with local counsel in multiple states to ensure compliance with regional real estate laws.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transactional real estate law, with a focus on land transactions involving homebuilders and the sale of finished lots.
- Prior experience with landbanking transactions or the sale of finished lots is highly preferred. Extensive commercial leasing or commercial development experience is not required.
- Understanding of homebuilder transactional dealings, including the acquisition and sale of finished lots.
- Bar admission in any state is acceptable, but preference will be given to candidates licensed in AZ or with experience in the primary states of operation, such as AZ, CA, FL, TX, NV, WA, the Carolinas, and GA.
- Ability to work full-time in the Scottsdale, AZ office.
