What our client is looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business or other related field
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing similar work
• Past physician billing experience, leadership experience, and Epic experience
• Ability to lead and manage diverse staff in a learning environment with frequent changes in departmental priorities
• Demonstrates a broad base knowledge in the areas of patient registration, billing, accounts receivable and cash management, managed care contractual terms, financial reporting, and industry standards for healthcare revenue cycle management practices
• Management skills that emphasize team building with the ability to provide clear direction to the department, while also functioning as an individual contributor
• Ability to interpret 3rd party payer contract requirements and recommend, design, and implement procedures for compliance with regulations and standards
• Ability to communicate and work with physicians, physician office personnel, associates, case managers, 3rd party payer review personnel, and others in order to expedite the revenue cycle processes to avoid negative financial impact

Hours and compensation potential:

• The position is full-time with occasional on-site presence (1-2 times per month) and a maximum commute of 1-1.5 hours.
• The salary range is between $77K-105K depending on experience, with a midpoint of $91K (for someone with approximately 10 years of experience).

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage and directly participate in the performance of the revenue cycle operations to maintain a high-functioning revenue cycle department.
• Plan, organize, and direct overall operations of patient accounting functions for both hospital and professional billing.
• Manage and directly supervise daily operations of the billing, follow-up, and denial processes.
• Determine work schedules, monitor performance, resolve technical and project issues, and educate staff.
