Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description
- Lead the design and documentation of mechanical systems for healthcare facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Oversee projects from conceptualization to construction administration.
- Ensure adherence to engineering codes, standards, and best practices.
- Create construction documents for new buildings, renovations, and additions.
- Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, and address construction-related inquiries.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement improvements.
- Guide and mentor junior designers while contributing to quality assurance efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- At least 8 years of experience in mechanical system design, preferably in healthcare projects.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical, energy, and healthcare-specific codes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Trane Trace, and Revit.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred; Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification required.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess permanent work authorization without sponsorship requirements.
