Senior Water Resources Engineer
Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Austin, TX office.

Job Description
- Lead and oversee water resources engineering projects, such as the enhancement of storm drain systems, flood mitigation, and stream restoration initiatives.
- Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial analysis to construction, ensuring compliance with municipal and environmental regulations.
- Create comprehensive project plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality work within designated timelines.
- Collaborate with CAD teams to produce accurate design drawings.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop technical content for proposals and project pursuits.
- Partner with finance teams on fee proposals, forecasting, and invoicing.
- Effectively communicate project findings through reports, presentations, and client meetings.
- Occasionally travel between Austin and San Antonio for project coordination.
Qualifications
- Must have a Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of three years of active licensure.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- At least 12 years of experience in water resources engineering and drainage design (or 10 years with a Master's degree).
- Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads Drainage, GEOPAK Drainage, and Storm and Sanitary software.
- Extensive experience in the design of stormwater treatment systems, culverts, bridges, and drainage channels.
- Strong knowledge of 1D and 2D modeling for flood analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident (sponsorship not available).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working on FEMA projects.
- Familiarity with municipal agencies and regulations in Central Texas.
- TxDOT pre-certifications.
