Senior Water & Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Austin, TX office.

Job Description

  • Take charge and oversee water and wastewater engineering projects, ensuring successful design and execution.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and timelines by coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Create designs and develop infrastructure related to water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants.
  • Ensure compliance with Texas water and wastewater standards and regulations.
  • Supervise engineers and technical staff, providing them with guidance and mentorship.
  • Conduct project meetings and collaborate with CAD and marketing teams, while managing QA/QC processes.
  • Support business development efforts by preparing technical proposals and fee estimates.
  • Travel as required for client meetings and project site visits within the region.

Qualifications

  • Hold an active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Possess more than 10 years of technical experience in water and wastewater engineering, with at least 5 years in project management.
  • Have a strong understanding of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.
  • Showcase excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (a Master's degree is preferred).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
