Job Description:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations.
- Contribute to menu planning and the development of exciting new dishes.
- Lead and train the kitchen staff to ensure exceptional food preparation.
- Maintain high-quality standards for all dishes leaving the kitchen.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Manage inventory and assist with supply ordering.
- Foster a cohesive work environment with the kitchen team.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated mastery of culinary skills, including various cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Experience in creating and implementing menu plans.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a fast-paced kitchen staff.
- Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Passion for developing innovative recipes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Preferred: Formal culinary training or a degree from a culinary school.
- Experience with Cuban-Caribbean or fusion cuisine is a plus.
