Tax Manager

Job Description - Oversee and manage tax engagements, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and regulatory requirements. - Prepare and meticulously review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. - Effectively execute tax provision calculations under ASC 740 guidelines. - Facilitate quarterly and year-end tax planning activities, including accurate estimations. - Foster and nurture strong client relationships to enhance satisfaction and loyalty. - Lead the planning and organization of engagements, effectively delegating tasks for optimal efficiency. - Continuously monitor engagement economics, including billing, collections, and profitability. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development. - Contribute actively to the expansion and development of the firm's tax practice. Qualifications Must-Have: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a specialization in corporate and partnership taxation. - Recent hands-on experience in tax preparation. - Proficiency in preparing and reviewing tax provisions following ASC 740 guidelines. - Active CPA license. - Strong leadership abilities, excellent project management skills, and a keen analytical mindset. Nice-to-Have: - Prior experience at a Big 4, national, or regional accounting firm. - Familiarity with tax preparation and research software (e.g., ProSystem fx Tax, CCH, RIA, BNA). - Advanced degree in accounting, tax, or law. - Proven track record of expanding tax services within a firm.
