Trust Administration Paralegal

Job Description

  • Support attorneys in all aspects of trust administration, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
  • Prepare trust administration documents, such as certifications of trust, trustee notifications, and affidavits.
  • Handle real property transfers, including grant deeds, affidavits, and relevant assessor forms.
  • Collaborate with trustees, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other professionals throughout the trust administration process.
  • Create estate valuation reports, asset inventories, and trust funding documentation.
  • Assist with trust distributions, including the preparation of distribution summaries, waivers, and receipts.
  • Draft and file necessary probate-related documents when required.
  • Maintain accurate client records, case notes, and deadlines using legal case management software.
  • Provide administrative support, including document scanning, filing, and organization for trust administration.
  • Attend regular team meetings and actively participate in ongoing legal education.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certificate is required.
  • Preferred minimum of three years of trust administration experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, and related legal procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • California Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain.
