About Our Client

Our client is a well-established law firm specializing in Workers’ Compensation defense. They are currently seeking experienced Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of experience in workers' comp. This is a remote position based in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Description

• Handle the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish
• Manage all aspects of discovery and litigation
• Represent insurance carriers, 3rd party administrators, and self-insured employers
• Prepare and manage client correspondence
• Draft pleadings and negotiate settlements
• Appear in court, manage calendar, and conduct depositions and cross-examinations
• Negotiate lien claims and proactively manage cases
• Oversee a legal assistant and provide case support
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors
• Participate in marketing events to attract new clients
• Review and update case information in PracticeMaster and billing software
• Meet deadlines for client correspondence and file reviews
• Conduct training seminars on workers' compensation case law
• Stay updated on current knowledge of workers' compensation case law

Qualifications

• Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are required
• Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in workers' compensation law
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
