Workers’ Compensation Attorney
Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the XYZ office.
About our Client
Our client is a leading law firm specializing in Workers' Compensation defense. They are currently seeking Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of experience in workers' comp, either on the plaintiff or defense side. This is a remote position that allows flexibility in work arrangements. California residency and possession of a CA Bar license are required. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Job Description
- Represent insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers in workers' compensation cases
- Manage all aspects of discovery and litigation for assigned cases
- Prepare and handle client correspondence
- Negotiate settlements and draft pleadings for workers' compensation files
- Attend court appearances, conduct depositions, and cross-examine doctors
- Handle lien claims and proactively manage cases
- Supervise and mentor legal assistants
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
- Participate in marketing events to attract new clients
- Input case information into PracticeMaster and billing software
- Meet deadlines for client correspondence and file reviews
- Conduct training seminars on changes in workers' compensation case law
- Stay updated on current knowledge of workers' compensation case law
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in workers' compensation law
- Must possess a valid California Bar license
- Residency in California is required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
