About Our Client

Our client is a reputable law firm specializing in workers' compensation defense. They are seeking experienced attorneys to join their team either as Senior or Associate Attorneys.

Job Description

  • Handle the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish, including discovery and litigation
  • Collaborate closely with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators
  • Plead on behalf of insurance carriers, 3rd party administrators, and self-insured employers
  • Manage correspondence with clients and draft necessary legal documents
  • Negotiate settlements for workers' compensation files
  • Appear in court, manage the calendar, and conduct depositions and cross-examinations of medical professionals
  • Handle lien claims and ensure proactive case management
  • Mentor and supervise legal assistants to provide effective case support
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
  • Participate in marketing events with new and existing clients
  • Review and work on files, input case information, and manage billing software
  • Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend file reviews
  • Conduct training seminars for clients on changes in workers' compensation case law
  • Stay updated on current knowledge of workers' compensation case law

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in workers' compensation law (either plaintiff or defense side)
  • Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license
