Workers’ Compensation Attorney
Our client, a Leading Law Firm in Workers’ Compensation Defense, is seeking experienced Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of workers' comp experience, either plaintiff or defense side, for a remote role. Competitive salary based on experience.
Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are mandatory.
Attorneys handle the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish, managing all aspects of discovery and litigation. They collaborate closely with insurance providers, employers, and third-party administrators.
Key responsibilities:
- Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers
- Handle client correspondence efficiently
- Prepare legal documents and negotiate settlements
- Attend court sessions, manage schedules, conduct depositions, and cross-examine medical professionals
- Negotiate lien claims and actively manage cases
- Supervise legal support staff and provide mentorship
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
- Participate in marketing activities to attract new clients
- Update case information in software systems and meet client communication deadlines
- Conduct training sessions on workers' comp law for clients
- Stay informed on current workers' compensation laws and regulations
