Our esteemed client, a leading Workers’ Compensation defense law firm, is actively seeking experienced Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of workers' comp experience for a remote position. Salary will be determined based on experience.

Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are mandatory.

As an Attorney, you will handle the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish, encompassing all aspects of discovery and litigation. You will collaborate closely with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators.

Main responsibilities:

• Lobby on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers
• Create and manage client correspondence
• Draft legal documents and negotiate settlements for workers' compensation cases
• Appear in court, manage schedules, conduct depositions, and cross-examine medical professionals
• Negotiate lien claims and engage in proactive case management
• Supervise and mentor legal assistant for efficient case support
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
• Participate in marketing events with new and existing clients
• Review and work on case files, input case information into PracticeMaster and billing software
• Meet deadlines for client communication and attend client file reviews
• Provide training seminars for clients on changing workers' compensation laws
• Stay updated on current developments in workers' compensation laws
