About Our Client:

Our client, a leading Workers’ Compensation defense law firm, is currently seeking Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of experience in workers' comp, either on the plaintiff or defense side. This is a remote position based in Anaheim, CA. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Job Description:

  • Manage the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish, including all aspects of discovery and litigation
  • Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers
  • Prepare and handle correspondence to clients
  • Negotiate settlements and draft pleadings for workers' compensation files
  • Attend court appearances, manage calendar, and conduct depositions and cross-examinations of medical professionals
  • Proactively manage case load, including negotiating lien claims
  • Oversee and mentor legal assistant to ensure efficient case support
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
  • Participate in marketing events with new and existing clients
  • Review and work on files, entering case information into PracticeMaster and billing software
  • Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend client file reviews
  • Conduct training seminars for clients on changes in workers' compensation case law
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in workers' compensation case law

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of recent experience in workers' compensation law (required)
  • Active membership with the California Bar (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
