Our client, a well-established law firm specializing in Workers' Compensation defense, is seeking experienced Senior and Associate Attorneys to join their team in Sacramento, CA.

Job Description

  • Manage the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish
  • Handle all aspects of discovery and litigation
  • Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers
  • Prepare and maintain correspondence with clients
  • Draft pleadings and negotiate settlements for workers' compensation files
  • Appear in court, manage calendar, and conduct depositions and cross-examinations of medical professionals
  • Negotiate lien claims and engage in proactive case management
  • Mentor and supervise legal assistant, ensuring effective case support
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
  • Participate in marketing events with new and existing clients
  • Review and work on files, entering case information into PracticeMaster and billing software
  • Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend client file reviews
  • Conduct training seminars for clients on evolving workers' compensation case law
  • Stay updated on current knowledge of workers' compensation case law

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in workers' compensation law (either plaintiff or defense side)
  • California Bar license
  • Residency in California
