Workers’ Compensation Attorney
Our client, a leading Workers’ Compensation law firm, is currently seeking experienced Attorneys with at least 4 years of workers' comp experience, either on the plaintiff or defense side, for a hybrid position. The salary is competitive based on experience.
Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are mandatory.
Attorneys will oversee the legal defense of workers' compensation cases, managing all aspects from start to finish, including discovery and litigation. They will collaborate with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators.
Main responsibilities:
- Litigate on behalf of insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators
- Handle client correspondence and pleadings
- Negotiate settlements on workers' compensation claims
- Appear in court, conduct depositions, and manage calendar requirements
- Handle lien claims and perform case management duties
- Supervise legal assistant and provide case support
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
- Participate in marketing activities with existing and prospective clients
- Review files, input data into software systems, and handle billing tasks
- Meet deadlines for client communication and file reviews
- Conduct training sessions for clients on changing workers' compensation laws
- Stay informed on current developments in workers' compensation law
