Workers’ Compensation Attorney
About Our Client:
Our client, an esteemed Workers’ Compensation defense law firm, is currently looking for Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of experience in workers' comp -- either plaintiff or defense side. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment. The position is located in Redding, CA.
Please note that residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are required.
Job Description:
- Manage the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish, including discovery and litigation
- Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, 3rd party administrators, and self-insured employers
- Prepare, manage, and respond to client correspondence
- Negotiate settlements on workers' compensation cases
- Appear in court for hearings and trials
- Conduct depositions and cross-examinations of medical experts
- Negotiate lien claims and proactively handle case management
- Oversee and mentor legal assistants
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors
- Participate in marketing events to attract new clients
- Review case files and input information into practice management software
- Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend file reviews
- Conduct training seminars for clients on changes in workers' compensation case law
- Stay updated on the latest developments in workers' compensation case law
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of recent experience in workers' compensation law
- Active California Bar license
