Our client, an esteemed Workers’ Compensation defense law firm, is currently looking for Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of experience in workers' comp -- either plaintiff or defense side. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment. The position is located in Redding, CA.

Please note that residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are required.

Job Description:

• Manage the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish, including discovery and litigation
• Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, 3rd party administrators, and self-insured employers
• Prepare, manage, and respond to client correspondence
• Negotiate settlements on workers' compensation cases
• Appear in court for hearings and trials
• Conduct depositions and cross-examinations of medical experts
• Negotiate lien claims and proactively handle case management
• Oversee and mentor legal assistants
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors
• Participate in marketing events to attract new clients
• Review case files and input information into practice management software
• Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend file reviews
• Conduct training seminars for clients on changes in workers' compensation case law
• Stay updated on the latest developments in workers' compensation case law

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of recent experience in workers' compensation law
• Active California Bar license
