About Our Client
Our client is a leading Workers' Compensation defense law firm located in San Jose, CA. They are currently seeking highly experienced Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of workers' comp experience for a full-time position.
Please note that residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year

Job Description
- Handle the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish
- Manage all aspects of discovery and litigation
- Advocate for insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers
- Create and manage correspondence with clients
- Prepare pleadings and negotiate settlements for workers' compensation files
- Attend court appearances and conduct depositions and cross-examinations of doctors
- Negotiate lien claims and proactively manage cases
- Mentor and supervise legal assistants to ensure efficient case support
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors
- Participate in marketing events with new and existing clients
- Review and work on files, inputting case information into PracticeMaster and billing software
- Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend client file reviews
- Conduct training seminars for clients on evolving workers' compensation case law
- Stay updated on current knowledge of workers' compensation case law
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in workers' compensation law
- Must possess a valid California Bar license
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven track record of achieving successful outcomes for clients
