Workers’ Compensation Attorney
Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the XYZ office.
About Our Client
Our client is a law firm specializing in defending workers' compensation cases. They are currently seeking Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of experience in workers' comp for a remote position. Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are required.
Job Description
- Represent insurance carriers, 3rd party administrators, and self-insured employers
- Manage client correspondence
- Create legal documents and negotiate settlements
- Attend court appearances, conduct depositions and cross-examinations
- Negotiate lien claims and proactively manage cases
- Supervise and mentor legal assistant
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors
- Participate in marketing events
- Review and input case information into software systems
- Meet deadlines for client correspondence and file reviews
- Deliver training seminars on workers' compensation case law
- Stay updated on current workers' compensation case law
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of recent experience in workers' compensation law
- California Bar license
