Workers’ Compensation Attorney

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the XYZ office.

Our client, a prestigious law firm specializing in Workers' Compensation defense, is currently seeking experienced Senior and Associate Attorneys to join their team. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in California.

Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are required.

The Attorneys will be responsible for managing the legal defense of workers' compensation cases throughout the entire process, including discovery and litigation. They will collaborate closely with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year

  • Minimum of 4 years in recent workers' compensation law (Required)

Primary responsibilities:

  • Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, 3rd party administrators, and self-insured employers
  • Prepare and handle client correspondence
  • Create legal pleadings and negotiate settlements for workers' compensation cases
  • Attend court appearances, manage calendar, and conduct depositions and cross-examinations
  • Negotiate lien claims and proactively manage cases
  • Supervise legal assistant's work and provide case support
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors
  • Participate in marketing events for new and existing clients
  • Review and update case information in practice management and billing software
  • Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend file reviews
  • Conduct training seminars on evolving workers' compensation case law
  • Stay updated on current knowledge of workers' compensation case law
